I started learning digital design in the late 90's and in 1999 I completed a Digital Design Diploma at Concept Interactive in Cape Town, South Africa.
I started my career in 2000 at the age of 19 and worked with a New York based company to design e-commerce websites during the dot-com boom of the early 2000's.
During the mid 2000's I focused my skill on Flash design and development. Flash technology was rising in popularity at the time with over 80% of all sites using Flash. I worked at several established digital design companies, working closely with leading advertising agencies to create award winning interactive design work for established brands, such as Audi, Volkswagen, Smirnoff and British American Tobacco.
In the late 2000's, online marketplaces to sell creative assets became increasingly popular and under the alias Digital Science, I was the number one top selling Adobe Flash author on Envato Market for several years, selling over 30 000 digital products.
Due to the release of the first iPhone and its lack of support for Flash, WordPress became an increasingly popular alternative solution, so I decided to design WordPress themes for sale on ThemeForest. I also began designing various mobile applications since the smart phone boom of the late 2000’s.
After the release of Bitcoin, I started to become interested in trading cryptocurrencies in 2013. Realising it was a growing tech market, I started to design products related to this new sector. During the ICO boom of 2017 I joined an Estonian based company to design their cryptocurrency trading platform. In 2020, I joined Bitfinex as their Senior UI/UX designer, the longest running cryptocurrency exchange and creators of Tether (USDT) stable coin.
